These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Lake360 mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Ceiling and Visibility Unlimited LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Lake360 provides on-water navigation aids, points of interest, weather information, and lake conditions for recreational boaters. The Service is intended as a supplemental aid to situational awareness only.
Lake360 is not a substitute for official navigation charts, proper safety equipment, or prudent seamanship. Routes, water depths, channel markers, and other navigational data are approximate and may not reflect current conditions. Always follow local waterway regulations, maintain a proper lookout, and exercise caution on the water. You are solely responsible for the safe operation of your vessel.
Lake360 offers Lake Passes as non-renewing annual in-app purchases. Each Lake Pass unlocks full access to a specific lake — including routing, points of interest, and weather data — for 365 days from the date of purchase. Lake Passes do not auto-renew: nothing is charged automatically, and you may purchase a new pass whenever you choose. Lake Passes purchased before August 1, 2026 do not expire and remain valid indefinitely. Two lakes (Smith Mountain Lake and Old Hickory Lake) are available free of charge without a Lake Pass.
All in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly through their Report a Problem page.
You may create an account using Sign in with Apple. Your account stores your custom spots and purchase history. You may delete your account at any time through the app (My Lake > My Passes > Delete Account), which permanently removes all your data from our servers.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Location data is used only for on-screen positioning and route planning — it is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Lake360 aggregates data from multiple sources including Apple Weather, USACE, USGS, USBR, AEP, and OpenStreetMap contributors. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness or timeliness of any data. Water levels, weather conditions, and points of interest may be outdated or inaccurate.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or loss of data. Your use of the Service for navigation is entirely at your own risk.
Lake360, its design, features, and content are the property of Ceiling and Visibility Unlimited LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will note the effective date at the top of this page.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
