Frequently Asked Questions
What lakes are available?
Smith Mountain Lake (Virginia) and Old Hickory Lake (Tennessee) are free — no account needed. Over 20 additional lakes are available with a Lake Pass, including Lake Lanier, Lake Tahoe, Lake Norman, Lake Cumberland, and more.
What is a Lake Pass?
A Lake Pass unlocks full access to a specific lake for 365 days from the date of purchase. It does not auto-renew — you are never charged automatically, and you can buy a new pass whenever you like. Passes purchased before August 1, 2026 do not expire and remain valid indefinitely.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
Open the app, tap your profile or the Passes tab, and tap "Restore Purchases." This will re-verify your purchases with Apple and restore access to any active Lake Passes.
Do I need an account to use the free lakes?
No. Free lakes work fully without signing in. You only need to sign in with Apple to purchase Lake Passes or save custom spots.
Is Lake360 a navigation chart?
No. Lake360 is an aid to situational awareness for recreational boaters. It provides route planning, points of interest, and conditions data. It is not a substitute for official navigation charts or prudent seamanship.
Does the app track my location?
Lake360 may use your device location to center the map. Location data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers or stored. See our
Privacy Policy for details.
How do I request a new lake?
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to My Lake > My Passes & Restore Purchases > Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, saved spots, and all associated data. You can also email
